Our Process
We begin the process by coming to your home and meeting with you to discuss your renovation ideas and concepts. This meeting is, most importantly, a mutual "interview" so we can understand the project scope and rally the appropriate resources to provide our potential clients a "full view" of their project, including the timing and investment. We help clients "Value Engineer" every project to make sure the best financial decisions and options are brought to the table.
Following this meeting, a cursory Investment Range Analysis (IRA) is prepared and explored with clients, to make ensure the proper foundation for our relationship and to better understand the project scope and timing. From this point, we'll provide a detailed written proposal on how to proceed based on the scope of the project, the investment ranges established, your budget and timing, and the necessity to involve other parties, such as our Architects or Designers.
After gaining your approval to move forward, we prepare a "Fixed Fee" estimate of costs and a high-level production schedule for the job, based on the IRA. For complex projects, we will also provide written documentation of items like measurements, material specifications, photographs, and CAD drawings. We prefer to have a very tight work scope that everyone has agreed to before we begin.
We will present this project plan to you within a few short days or weeks following the final design and architecture plans. At times, we might request an additional visits to ensure
that our measurements are correct or evaluate some ideas that came up during the process, but mostly we want to make sure you are comfortable with the process. Once you have reviewed the estimate
and scope of work, you will sign the estimate, our Texas Association of Builders (TAB) contract, and we'll get started. Usually work can begin within just a few days or weeks.
Below are some documents we hope you will find helpful in the exploratory phase of your project. These includes:
(1) Some Thoughts (FAQs) on Renovations
(2) A photo-process of a master bathroom renovation
(3) A photo gallery of various master bath options and projects.
Feel free to download these and use them as part of your discovery process.
